First we need to know what is EPR?
EPR is Extended Producer Responsibility, It is an EU environmental policy requirement. Mainly based on the "polluter pays" principle, which requires we producers to reduce the impact of our commodities on the environment during the entire product life cycle and be responsible for the entire life cycle of the products we put on the market. But different country in EU should apply for registration respectively.
EPR compliance includes three parts: "registration", "upload to the backend of the e-commerce platform" and "declaration". Currently the country request EPR is Germany and France.
As sunglasses, eyeglasses sellers what we need to do?
If we sell sunglasses and eyeglasses to Germany and France, and with the retail packing, that we need to register the EPR accordingly. For branded sellers you can register by yourself or request your packing manufacturer do the registration.
