Yellow, Orange & Red Blue Light Blocking Lenses in Stock

Each tint filters a different wavelength range
Evening exposure to blue light can suppress melatonin. In this lens series, the stronger tints filter a wider range of wavelengths. That is why our blue light blocking lenses now come in three tints.
Yellow lenses filter part of the blue spectrum, roughly 400-450 nm. They suit daytime screen work, and they look close to regular eyewear, which makes them an easy first product for a new blue light blocking glasses brand.
Orange lenses block most blue light. Buyers usually position them as amber blue light blocking glasses for evening use, worn 2-3 hours before bed. Small clinical studies give some support for this positioning. In Shechter et al. (2018), 14 adults with insomnia symptoms slept about 28 minutes longer on average when wearing amber lenses for two hours before bed, based on actigraphy. Burkhart & Phelps (2009) reported better self-rated sleep quality in 20 adults with three hours of evening wear. These were small studies, so we recommend using "studies suggest" in product copy and linking to the sources.
Red lenses filter blue and green light up to about 550 nm. Our suggested positioning is evening wear, 1-2 hours before bed. This is the strongest filter in the series, and it suits sleep glasses collections aimed at shift workers and frequent travelers.

What this means for private-label brands
For a private-label sleep glasses line, the path is simple. Pick a frame from our current catalogue, tell us the tint, and we build the sample. Since the frame already exists, there is no new mould to pay for. If you have a reference photo, send it over and we will recommend the closest frame styles, then reply with a quotation and lead time.
Most first-time buyers still start with yellow because it looks familiar. Fair enough. Amber and red give you a clear story for the sleep glasses market, and all three tints can share the same frame.
Transmittance and UV400 test reports are available for all three tints of our blue light blocking lenses.

Leeyewear is an eyewear manufacturer based in Shenzhen, China. We produce private-label blue light blocking glasses and optical frames for OEM/ODM programs.
